Though this is my third Presbyterian interim, it was my first Presbyterian Advent-Christmas commemoration.
John Claypool tells of the young country boy who is given permission by his father to walk into town to see the circus for the very first time. He has been able to think of nothing else since the day he heard the circus was coming.
I’ve noted over the years that when Halloween comes around Christmas seems to be the day after. It happens that fast. But then again, these last five months have come and gone pretty quickly as well. The older I get the faster time flies.
Our potluck dinner and program Wednesday, September 11, was a wonderful event. Janet and I are grateful that you “honored” us in such a nice way.
